You can also use baking soda to make an effective mouthwash that will prevent accumulation of plaque and tartar and keep your teeth clean. Mix half cup of baking soda with one cup of water, 1 teaspoon Aloe Vera gel, 10 drops of lemon oil and 4 teaspoons of vegetable glycerin. Use this mixture to rinse your mouth at least twice a day.

These fruits are extremely rich in Vitamin C which is why eating these and other citrus can enhance your oral health. However, you can also use strawberries and tomatoes to remove tartar and plaque from your teeth. Cut a strawberry or tomato into half. Rub this piece to your teeth. Let the juice of the fruit stay on your teeth for about 5 minutes. This will soften the plaque and tartar and make for easy removal. Rinse your mouth with a mixture of baking soda and warm water.
